Weigh In Motion - Height in Motion - Distance in Motion

Differentiating between vehicles and preventing them from driving on certain sections of road or bridges is becoming an increasingly difficult challenge. The requirements for vehicle differentiation systems (FDS), axle load measuring points, and weigh-in-motion (WIM) systems for measuring, weighing, and classifying vehicles are constantly increasing.

traffic-lines offers you a fully digitized and modular solution that allows you to respond flexibly to the demands of the location and reliably protect dilapidated structures from overload. While standard axle load measuring points often provide inaccurate data, we offer you a precise and versatile system – whether as an FDS or axle load measurement.

In addition, height control and distance control systems can be integrated. This allows vehicles with excessive superstructures to be reliably detected and sorted out before low structures such as tunnels or bridges. Distance control also analyzes driving behavior, enabling safety-critical situations caused by insufficient vehicle distance to be detected and documented at an early stage.

You also benefit from particularly fast installation: Your system is ready for use within 30 days. You are free to decide whether you want to buy or rent the system - depending on the scope of the project and your budget.

The vehicle differentiation system (FDS) consists of several modules that fulfil specific tasks within the overall system

Thanks to the large number of fully automated and redundant systems installed in our FDS, you can rely on the measurement accuracy. A weighing and measuring station is set up in front of the bottleneck, which is not passable for every vehicle, and records every passing vehicle. It is automatically weighed and the dimensions are recorded. If a vehicle exceeds the predefined maximum values, it is diverted with the aid of traffic lights and barriers. Thanks to their modular design, our FDS can be flexibly adapted to the requirements of your location and are ready for use in no time at all – throughout Europe.

The FDS can be used on one or two-lane motorway sections and can be linked to existing barrier or traffic light systems as required. This allows vehicles that are too heavy to be stopped and diverted at an early stage. Vehicles that exceed specified maximum values can thus be detected and diverted.
